Shown here is a pendant utilizing what is called marriage of metals. Metals used are sterling silver, brass and copper. The top is comprised of many pieces which had to be idividually cut, filed and soldered together. Before removing all of the excess solder on the top, the piece looked as you see it from the back view. The back was left as is to better show the process. The top was then positioned about 3 mm over the back frame using 8 silver wire pegs. I had created this piece in the mid 1970s while studying at the Memphis Art Academy. As you see by now it has acquired a beautiful patina all over.
