This is a beautiful 1950s chronograph from Wittnauer. The watch is in great condition considering it’s age. The dial is absolutely original and in good condition, some aging present. Oyster color with big registers. Arabic numeral 12 and round hour markers are possibly the polished metal of the dial itself. All original hands with the calendar hand and the center chronograph hand in blued steel. The day of the week and the date change slowly and do not complete the change till past 2 a.m. The push button at 10 o’clock is used to adjust the month aperture. Button at 8:30 o’clock is to adjust day of the week. The date is adjusted by simply turning the hands until the desired date is reached. The case measures 35 mm across by 42.7 mm in length. The case appears to have never been repolished after leaving the factory! There is some surface pitting here and there as shown in photographs. The Valjoux 72C 17 jewels movement is in great shape. It was serviced years ago when we first acquired this watch. All functions work correctly and the watch is keeping good time. The crystal is in very good condition. The watch comes with a new deBeer Europa black leather band. Priced at $3950
