Offered here a highly desirable Titus Calypsomatic.
It dates to 1966-1967.
It is one of the most difficult models of Titus Calypsomatic to be found due to the short production run.
The case of this watch has the shape and dimensions very similar to vintage Rolex 6538 or 5510.
I bought this watch some years ago and was not in a hurry to sell it.
As you see it has the original glossy black true Gilt dial!!
Date aperture at 3 o’clock with gilt border.
Date wheel in alternating blue and red numerals!!
The hands are original lollipop in design.
Also the bezel is original to this watch. The printing is fat font, present only on some models 7985. They are different in line thickness from other examples to be found.
The triangle at 60 min. mark can be filled with luminous material if you like.
The large crown measures 7.4mm and is original to this model only!!
The text which you would expect to find on the back of the case is still there but very faded.
Believe it or not but just the friction of the metal and the skin will do it over 6 decades.
The case back is stamped on the inside 945 as it should be.
This watch comes with the black leather strap as pictured.
The watch is in working condition.
