Rare Piaget Emperador 18K Gold, Nephrite Jade Dial

Offered here is a quite rare Piaget Emperador gents watch in 18K solid gold case and bracelet.
This is model reference 9131 which was made in the early 1970s. As per the original certificate which came with this watch, it was sold on March 23rd 1974 at the Cartier store in Mexico City. The watch is very heavy, weighing 198 grams. It has a high grade super thin mechanical movement 9P1, adjusted to 5 positions and temperature. The watch has a dial made out of a thin slice of nephrite jade. Gold sword hands. The little oxidation present on the minute hand close to the canon pinion can be easily removed by a watchmaker during the next service. Presently the watch will fit a 7.5 inch wrist. Three links were custom made to elongate this watch to the present length. They are also 18K yellow gold and you would have a hard time distinguishing them from the original ones. We can make additional links as needed. The case is 25 mm wide and the bracelet tapers down to 18 mm at the clasp. Do not let the price scare you. At today’s gold market price ( 6.25.2019), this watch has over $6500 worth of gold alone!! It is an investment which you will actually enjoy having and wearing. Please do not confuse this model with Piaget Polo models. This one has a much thicker and stronger bracelet and weighs about 35% more than the Piaget Polo of the similar look.
