Here is an interesting and a great looking watch from Citizen made in early 1960s. Auto Dater 7 with a 25 jewels automatic movement. The case it quite big for that period measuring 38 mm across. It has many similarities to Rolex Day Date fro that period. The general shape of the case, pie pan dial with gold applied faceted hour markers, the day aperture with a magnifying lens, the hands, the faceted bezel, all these combined in one piece clearly shows where the influence was coming from. The case is gold filled with a rich gold color approximating 18K gold color and it is in great condition especially considering that the watch is over 50 years old. The bracelet is also in great condition. This watch has a quickset date change feature which works similar to some other watch from that period. By pulling the crown out to second position the date will change and jump to the next. It can be repeated until the desired date is reached.
