Here is a beautiful Art Deco period vintage Omega in 14K solid gold case dating to 1930s !!          I purchased this watch a few years ago. The eggshell color dial may be original as it is a gilt dial. The Arabic numerals are actually the polished brass the dial is made of and possibly gold plated. The gold hands and Arabic numeral hour markers stand out for easy legibility.                           The hour and minute hands have developed some oxidation.
This can be removed by a watchmaker at the next service. This watch measures 23.43 mm across and is 38 mm long. These lugs are very short and thin so the band looks as if touching the case. The lugs are 22 mm wide!! The two long sides are reeded like the gold coins.              The movement of this watch is manual wind with 17 jewels and has an inner dust cover with an aperture for timing adjustment without the need to expose the whole movement. The movement is running great. The 14K stamp appears on the inside of the case cover and also between the lugs at 6 o’clock position. The leather band is adjustable and allows an easy putting on or taking off of the watch. There is an interesting inscription inside the back cover, dating the presentation of this watch to 1938. Also a monogram on the case cover.
