Offered here a vintage 14K white gold ring set with an oval star sapphire. The sapphire measures 12.3 mm by 11.0 mm by 10.9 mm (approximate). The calculated weight is 14.75 Carats.
Clarity: Heavily included (H1).
Gem eSquare color: Light, Slightly Grayish, Violetish Blue (vB 3/2).
Good proportions, fair finish, six rayed star.
The sapphire is flush set into a heavy 14K white gold ring.
The ring is cast with a bark finish on the sides.
One diamond of 0.03 Ct. each is set on each side, total 0.06 Cts.
Clarity SI-2 color H-I .
The weighs 15.5 grams and is size 7.
The ring is stamped JESSOP 14K. We did find a jewelry store by this name in San Diego, California.
We have the appraisal done on 6/6/2014 by Richard C. Huntington, Master Gemologist Appraiser stating the Market Value as $3200. Insurance appraisal can be up to 30% higher.  Priced here at $3200 based on $1300/oz. gold market price.
