Offered here is a gorgeous platinum ladies ring, center set with 1.1 carat blue sapphire and 47 full cut round brilliant diamonds.
The ring measures 22 mm at the top and tapers down to 2.8 mm at the bottom of the shank. It extends 12.3 mm above the finger.
The sapphire measures 7.52 x 5.6 x 3.39 mm. The 18 white diamonds measure 3.0 to 3.3 mm each. Their total weight is stamped at 1.35 carats. They are F,G in color and VS and SI in clarity. The 29 fancy intense orange yellow in color diamonds measure 1.9 to 2.0 mm each. Their total weight is estimated at 1.16 carats. They are of SI clarity and the color is assumed irradiated. The ring is also stamped as Pt 900.
This ring was partially cast and partially hand constructed. It weighs 14.9 grams which points to it being very well made to last.
Working with platinum requires much skill because this metal has a very high melting point temperature of 3215 degrees.
The ring is size 8.5 and can be sized. This ring was appraised on July 5th 2021 by a Certified Gemologist Appraiser at $8500 with an addition of Nevada State Tax of $712 to a total of $9212. This is the price you would be expected to pay in a retail store in Las Vegas.
