Offered here is a gorgeous pair of 18K gold earrings bezel set with Australian black opals in the centers and 22 diamonds surrounding each opal. The opals are doublets.
The pair weighs 26.2 grams! These are clip on earrings with no post. They are being held to the earlobe by the pressure of the back part to the lobe. The back part is quite wide in order to grab more of the ear lobe.
Each earring is bead set with 22 diamonds measuring in size 0.03 carats with a total estimated diamond weight of 0.66 carats per earring or 1.32 carats for the pair. The diamonds are of high quality: F,G in color and VS in clarity. Very well cut with much brilliance.
There is a stamp in each of the earrings which indicates they were made in 18K gold. You can find it at the very bottom of where the back part is soldered to the oval front part. One of the cabochon cut black opals has a hairline running from about 1 o’clock position to about 7 o’clock position. This hairline is internal as I do not see it reaching the surface when looking at it with 10 power magnification.
For the price you pay here you cannot have them made by your jeweler using same quality gems, amount of gold and the craftsmanship.
