If you have been searching for an unusual ring you have found it. Here is an 18K yellow gold, totally hand constructed ring set with a 10.8 carat (calculated) rectangular cushion amethyst. Hand constructed means that all parts were cut out of gold wire, hand formed and soldered together. There are over 20 such parts here. The amethyst measures 16.23 mm long by 13.04 mm wide and 10.82 mm deep. It is of medium violet color. The ring is size 5.5 and weighs 8.3 grams. It is 17.16 mm wide at the top and tapers to 4.0 mm at the bottom of the shank. This ring is not stamped but we had it tested with an 18K gold acid and it tests as 18K gold. The amethyst has good brilliancy . The center gem is flanked on each side with 4 full cut diamonds. These are of H,I color and VS or better clarity. They measure in size from 0.07 ct. to 0.10 carat to a total estimated weight of 0.70 Carats. All diamonds are set in 14K white gold settings.
